About project
ESJARA TASK FORCE ESjara is the task force dedicated to promoting the use of rockrose essential oil for the development of the bioeconomy in rural areas. The overall aim of this project is to develop the value chain for the utilisation of rockroses (Cistus ladanifer and Cistus laurifolius) to produce essential oils, whilst making the most of waste and by-products. The project is supported by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and the EAFRD. The ESjara consortium comprises the Foundation for Forestry Services and Promotion and its Industry in Castile and León (CESEFOR) as coordinator, the Centre for Energy, Environmental and Technological Research (CIEMAT), Agresta S. Coop, Biolandes Andalucía S.A., El Jarpil S.L., the Federation of Forestry Associations of Castile and León (FAFCYLE) and ROOTECO AGRICULTURE S.L.
