Agricultural non point transfers and landscapes features : participatory modelling and agro-ecological optimisation

About project

Landscape features (soil uses, hedgerows, swamps, filter strips,...) can accelerate or buffer water or pollutant flows. The project aims to evaluate the non-point transfers of nutrients and pollutants in agricultural catchments, to better estimate and control them by agro-ecological practices that enhance the buffering effect of landscapes. The project will produce pieces of software analyzing the relationships between the agricultural production systems, the landscape organization and the propagation as well as the impact of flows on water resources, soils and ecological habitats.
