Grow, use, and sell high-quality grassland protein

Hemmaproducerat kvävefattigt protein från vall för ekonomiskt hållbar mjölkproduktion

or

Detail description

Produce high-quality, nitrogen-poor protein from grassland to boost farm profitability. At Tuna Farm in Östergötland, Sweden, diverse grass mixes including red clover, timothy, and meadow fescue are harvested early and ensiled with precision. The farm uses a machinery cooperative to ensure timely harvesting, supporting 400 beef bulls and 20 suckler cows. Skimming occurs every 5–6 weeks, with the first cut around mid-May. Efficient silage techniques and rapid processing minimize spoilage. The system emphasizes sustainable protein production, reducing reliance on purchased concentrates.
