AQUACOMBINE Project Virtual Event 22.03.2022: Halophyte-Based Circular Biomass Production

Co-creating sustainable biomass through halophyte-based circular systems

of

Detail beschrijving

Virtual event on 22.03.2022, 16:00–17:30 CET, presented findings from the AQUACOMBINE project on circular biomass production using halophytes. The event, moderated by Norbert Reichl, explored co-production of food, feed, bio-compounds, and bioenergy with minimal waste. Topics included hydroponic halophyte cultivation, aquaculture integration with Salicornia farming, and conversion of residues into biogas and biochar. The project, co-funded by the EU Horizon 2020 programme (Grant No. 862834), involves partners from Aalborg University, Leibniz University Hannover, RIASEARCH, and Hochschule Flensburg. Presentations highlighted sustainable biomass solutions using Salicornia and Crithmum species.
