About project

In recent years, there has been a marked increase in the number of problems caused by small dipterans (mainly larvae of fungus gnats and dance flies) and springtails (feeding damage and/or cosmetic damage or grading issues). The phasing out of certain broad-spectrum (soil) insecticides and climate change are likely to exacerbate this problem. Through this operational group, we aim to develop and implement an IPM strategy for growers of leafy crops under glass, through knowledge building, collaboration, guidance and dissemination.
