BeBoB – Control of Soil Pests in Protected Leafy Crops

Control of soil pests in protected leafy crops using integrated pest management and biological control

or

Detail description

This project develops and implements an integrated pest management (IPM) strategy for soil pests—such as fungus gnats, springtails, and two-spined mites—in protected leafy crops. It includes monitoring and identification, pest biology research, evaluation of biological control agents and products, and a field trial on compost fertilisation effects. Growers will gain alternative pest control measures, and a cost-benefit analysis of methods will be shared at project completion. Funded by the European Union, the initiative supports innovation, knowledge exchange, and EIP-AGRI objectives through EU-FarmBook.
