About project

The objective of this project is to design and test mulching opers adapted to low-cost manual and mechanical seed drills. These will allow minimal disturbance of the soil while keeping mulching as low as possible to prevent weeds from chocking the vegetables. This project aims to develop prototypes in collaboration with vegetable growers taking part in living soil market gardening in order to identify and precisely define the technical needs and to disseminate the plans in open source, allowing self-construction with regards to the reduced investment capacity of market gardeners.
