Agroecological Service Crops for Sustainable Greenhouse Farming in Southern Europe
Agroecological Service Crops enhance resilience and reduce inputs in Southern European greenhouses
or
Detail description
Agroecological Service Crops enhance sustainability in organic greenhouse production across Southern Europe. Tested within the Horizon Europe-funded Greenresilient project, ASCs support crop rotation, boost soil fertility, balance water and nutrient cycles, and reduce pest and disease pressure. They promote beneficial insects and improve ecosystem resilience while reducing reliance on external inputs. The initiative involves CREA and the Greenresilient network, with findings documented in a factsheet on the Greenresilient website.
