The UVA PRETIOSA project promotes circular economy in vitiviniculture by valorising grape pomace by-products for biogas and oil production. Preliminary results confirm a methane yield of 390 m³ per ton of dry matter, with no inhibition to microbial activity. Next steps include optimising logistics and economic feasibility of pomace collection and transport, and improving dehydration processes to 10–12% moisture for efficient oil extraction, with trials already underway using equipment processing 300 kg per batch.
