REDaPORC

The innovative project aims to accelerate the process of reducing the use of antibiotics in pig farms in Spain. To achieve this, on the one hand, we will identify and characterize the causes that have the greatest incidence in its use, differentiating between those associated with biosecurity, handling and comfort of the animals, and those linked to the presence of certain pathologies. On the other hand, we will develop a tool to compare the level of antimicrobial consumption between farms. This information will allow decision-making, both individual and collective, to quickly progress towards the objective.
