ToNoWaste aims to promote sustainable food production and consumption patterns. It begins with research on identifying the best strategies for Food Waste Prevention and Reduction (FWPR) Actions within the fresh food value chain and proposes assessment tools to determine their social, environmental and economic impacts. As an open innovation ecosystem, it builds on previous findings to identify key social, environmental, technical, economic, political, legal, ethical, and demographic drivers and barriers to generate science based sustainability assessment solutions. ToNoWaste also collaborates with ongoing R&D initiatives to develop comprehensive solutions for FWPR.
