Wpływ temperatury na biosyntezę alkaloidów Amaryllidaceae w kulturach in vitro Leucojum aestivum

The study examines the effect of temperature on the biosynthesis of Amaryllidaceae alkaloids, including galanthamine and lycorine, in in vitro cultures of Leucojum aestivum L. Galanthamine is used in Alzheimer’s treatment, while lycorine is under clinical investigation for anticancer properties. The research focuses on optimizing temperature conditions (15 °C, 20 °C, 30 °C) to enhance alkaloid production in somatic embryogenic cultures over four weeks, using LC-MS and RT-PCR to analyze alkaloid levels and gene expression.
