During a roundtable held on November 27, 2025 at the Innovation Forum, experts discussed how norms, labels, and public policies can preserve animal health and welfare. They examined citizen and consumer expectations, the use of dedicated animal welfare labels to drive farming improvements, and the conflicts between health regulations and welfare standards. The discussion also highlighted scientific support mechanisms for public policy and presented concrete recent examples illustrating how these tools function in practice across livestock sectors.
