Boosting Innovation in Organic Greenhouses via Stronger Networks

The BIOGREENET project aims to improve organic greenhouse production in Europe by bridging fragmented knowledge, fostering innovation networks, and empowering producers and advisors through digital tools and collaborative efforts. It engages 16 partners and over 3,000 stakeholders from 2025 to 2029 to share and adapt best practices.

BIOGREENET is a Horizon Europe-funded initiative running from 2025 to 2029 that focuses on strengthening organic greenhouse production across Europe. By bringing together 16 partners, including farmers’ associations, research institutes, and advisors, the project addresses challenges such as soil health, pest control, and high infrastructure costs. BIOGREENET applies a transdisciplinary approach to collect, evaluate, adapt, and share innovative practices through digital platforms, workshops, and collaborative networks. Over 3,000 producers and advisors will engage in knowledge exchange to facilitate the uptake of best practices. The project aims to accelerate sustainable greenhouse production and enhance economic, social, and environmental outcomes within and beyond the EU.
