Practice Abstract_Cómo diseñar campañas de comunicación eficaces para alcanzar a usuarios finales

In the EU, around 89 million tonnes of food loss and waste (FLW) are generated annually, costing an estimated €143 billion and impacting all stages of the food value chain. The SISTERS project proposes systemic innovations to reduce FLW across production, processing, marketing, consumption, and logistics. Key initiatives include a European Short Chain Platform for farmers to sell surplus produce, smart reusable food containers, bio-based compostable packaging, and a Seal of Excellence to promote sustainable retail practices. Through these efforts, SISTERS aims to reduce FLW by 27.4% and CO2 emissions by 20%, supported by an interdisciplinary consortium of 18 partners from 8 European countries.
