Detail description

Deliverable 5.1 of the FOLOU project presents Product Category Rules (PCR) for the life cycle sustainability assessment of food losses. It establishes goal and scope definitions, functional units and system boundaries to quantify side losses and primary production stage losses for grains, pulses, fruits, vegetables, root tubers, oil crops, meat, animal products and fish. The document details mandatory and optional inventory data requirements, methodological limitations, and reporting templates to ensure consistent and transparent evaluation of the environmental impacts associated with lost or wasted food in agricultural supply chains.
