I3S Network Architecture

This document presents the architecture of the ClieNFarms Innovative Systemic Solution Space (I3S) Network, a European multi-actor platform established to support the development, testing and dissemination of climate-neutral and climate-resilient farming solutions.

The network brings together 19 I3S across different countries, production systems and climatic regions. It facilitates knowledge exchange, cross-border collaboration, identification of climate solutions, demonstration activities and the development of the ClieNFarms Catalogue of Climate Solutions.

To structure collaboration, six thematic networks were created covering livestock systems, crop systems, carbon sequestration, low-carbon energy, environmental sustainability and governance or circular approaches. The network is designed to accelerate innovation uptake and improve the exchange of practical knowledge among farmers, advisors, researchers and other stakeholders.
