Carbon Allowance Platform – a scalable incentive framework for regenerative agriculture
A data-driven platform that combines carbon footprint assessment, soil monitoring and financial incentives to accelerate the adoption of regenerative agriculture.
Detail description
This practice abstract presents the Carbon Allowance Platform developed by Peter Fröhlich and AgriCircle to support the transition towards regenerative agriculture.
The platform integrates precision soil data, verified carbon footprint calculations and a performance-based incentive system that rewards farmers for implementing climate-positive farming practices. It combines monitoring tools such as the DORA system, a catalogue of more than 200 regenerative practices and farmer-to-farmer learning opportunities.
By linking environmental performance with financial compensation, the platform supports carbon sequestration, improved soil health and reduced supply-chain emissions. It also provides policymakers, researchers and food companies with a scalable framework for monitoring, evaluation and climate mitigation.
