The Agricultural Biomass Geoportal
Analysis of biomass supply potential at national and regional level
Detail description
The Agricultural Biomass Geoportal developed by IUNG provides spatial analysis of biomass resources across Poland at national, regional, and municipal levels. It covers plant biomass (straw, hay), animal biomass (manure, slurry), bio-waste, and forestry residues. The tool distinguishes between theoretical and technical biomass potential, helping users identify areas with the highest availability of feedstock for biogas and biomethane production. It includes a biomass calculator that allows summing resources across selected municipalities and interactive charts for comparing provinces. The geoportal supports public administration, investors, and energy companies in planning biomass-related infrastructure and investments.
