Common Biomass Types in Greece and Italy and the Technologies Used for Their Valorisation

In December 2024, the EU-funded BBioNets project hosted its first cross-fertilisation meetings, bringing together the project’s Forest and Agriculture Networks (FANs) within the same European Transnational Region (ETR). This report presents the main outcomes of the Mediterranean ETR meeting, which centred on identifying common types of biomass and the technologies used for their processing to produce valuable outputs. It also explored the social implications of adopting new technologies and the impact on local communities.
