DESIRA H2020 Project: Socio-Economic Impact of Rural Digitalisation

The DESIRA project (H2020 grant agreement no. 818194) assesses the socio-economic impact of digitalisation in rural Europe from 2019 to 2023. It involves 25 partners and develops tools, scenarios, and policies to support responsible digital transition in agriculture, forestry, and rural communities. Key outputs include a digitalisation index, 20 Living Labs, a policy roadmap, ethical guidelines, and the European Rural Digitisation Forum. The project applies Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) principles and engages 300 Digital Game Changers. It promotes inclusiveness, transparency, and foresight in rural digital transformation.
