Database of Field Records for Pan-European Bee Health Assessment

Pan-European database of field records for bee health assessment and monitoring across multiple countries

Detail description

A comprehensive database of field records from the PoshBee project, covering pan-European bee health monitoring across 8 countries. Includes detailed datasets on Apis, Bombus, and Osmia bees, with data on colony performance, pest and disease presence, pollen and nectar collection, chemical analysis of wax, royal jelly, and metals, gut microbiome, wing asymmetry, and fat body analysis. Records span 13 tables with public access from May 2023, featuring standardized site codes, collection dates, sample weights, and processing protocols. Data collected from 2018–2020 includes field size, crop variety, flowering dates, and management systems. Summary statistics per country and crop type are provided for insect abundance, floral richness, and pathogen prevalence. Coordinated by Professor Mark Brown at Royal Holloway, the project supports large-scale assessment of bee health stressors.
