PoshBee: Pan-European Bee Health Stressor Assessment

Pan-European bee health monitoring and stressor reduction through coordinated research and innovation

Detail description

PoshBee is a Horizon 2020 project assessing chemical, pathogenic, and nutritional stressors affecting managed and wild bees across Europe. Led by Royal Holloway University of London, it involves 42 partners from 14 countries and ran from 2018 to 2023. The project developed innovative tools, including a 'bee health card' for molecular monitoring, and created landscape-explicit risk models for honeybees, bumblebees, and solitary bees. It delivers practical protocols, policy guidance, and data to support sustainable beekeeping and pollination, addressing key knowledge gaps in bee health and environmental stressors.
