Detection and Quantification of Vairimorpha Microsporidia in Bees Using qPCR

Quantitative PCR method for simultaneous detection and quantification of Vairimorpha (Nosema) species in honey bees, bumble bees, and solitary bees

or

Detail description

Detection of Vairimorpha (Nosema) apis, V. ceranae, and V. bombi in honey bees, bumble bees, and mason bees using a quantitative PCR method targeting the RPB1 gene. The method enables accurate quantification of microsporidia, supports co-infection analysis, and facilitates spillover studies between bee species. Validated in Apis mellifera, Bombus terrestris, and Osmia bicornis, it supports high-throughput screening and harmonised diagnostics.
