Microbial antagonists suppress soilborne pathogens and nematodes, enhancing soil health in arable and vegetable crops. The Best4Soil network promotes composting, cover cropping, anaerobic soil disinfestation, and solarisation to boost beneficial microbes. Commercial biological control agents (BCAs) target specific pathogens. This tool details microbial impacts on plant growth and lists available BCA products. Supported by the Horizon Europe EIP-AGRI programme, resources are also available via the Organic Farm Knowledge platform and Best4Soil website.
