Keyline Design and Agroforestry at Aebleten Farm
Enhancing climate resilience through keyline design and agroforestry on a Swiss organic farm
or
Detail description
Lukas van Puijenbroek applies keyline design and agroforestry at Aebleten Farm, Switzerland, to improve water retention and climate resilience. Rainwater is harvested from rooftops and stored in a pond serving as biotope and retention basin, irrigating vegetable crops. Developed with Philipp Gerhardt of Baumfeldwirtschaft, the system combats drought and heavy rainfall. Part of the EU’s 'Climate Farm Demo' initiative, the project supports organic farming through FiBL and the Organic Climate Network.
