Recycling-Derived Fertilisers for Lettuce Growth: Pot Trial

Recycling-derived fertilisers for sustainable lettuce cultivation: a pot-trial assessment

or

Detail description

Lettuce growth trial assessing residual digestate fertilisers (RDFs) as sustainable nitrogen sources compared to synthetic fertilisers (CAN, TSP, potassium sulfate). Conducted in 54 pots with two N dosages (100% and -50% of Inagro recommendations) under controlled conditions. Soil from Wingene, Belgium (Z.c.h. type, sandy, poorly drained) was analysed for pH, EC, organic matter, nutrients, and heavy metals. Lettuce (*Lactuca sativa* L. cv. Cosmopolia) grown for 55 days at 20°C with 12-hour artificial light (2000 lux), maintained at 60% field capacity. Fresh and dry weight, nutrient uptake, and heavy metal content were measured. Part of the ReNu2Farm project (Interreg North-West Europe).
