Recycling Inorganic Chemicals from Agro-Bio Waste

Injection of mineral concentrates from manure improves nitrogen uptake efficiency compared to surface application, reducing losses and enhancing crop availability.

or

Detail description

Nitrogen use efficiency of mineral concentrates from recycled manure and waste streams varies by application method, with injected forms achieving NFRVs up to 92% due to reduced ammonia volatilization and scorching. Surface application results in NFRVs of 36–62%, primarily due to salt stress and nitrogen loss. Pig slurry shows lower efficiency than mineral concentrates. Reverse osmosis produces concentrates comparable to liquid fertilizers. Findings highlight the importance of injection techniques for optimizing nutrient use in agriculture.
