Regulatory Framework for EU Plant Biostimulants Under Regulation 2019/1009
Regulatory compliance and technical documentation for EU plant biostimulants under FPR 2019/1009
or
Detail description
Plant biostimulants in the EU must comply with Regulation (EU) 2019/1009, requiring conformity assessment via Module B+C or D1, technical documentation, and CE marking. Producers must submit product details, component compliance, test reports, label specimens, and EU Declaration of Conformity. Microbial biostimulants require strain-specific ingredient lists and sensitisation warnings. Non-microbial types must meet pathogen and heavy metal limits. All documentation must be retained for five years. Guidance and an IT tool for technical documentation are expected by late 2023.
