Detail description

The Hägg family in Siglajuvs, Gotland, Sweden, enhances farm sustainability and profitability through optimized irrigation and manure management. They use a shared irrigation pond to recycle runoff for crop use and a covered manure storage tank for controlled fertilization. Testing various grass mixes, including lucerne and Festulolium, improves forage quality while deterring barnacle geese. The 127-hectare farm produces 11,000 kg of KRAV-certified milk annually from 50 dairy cows on 87 hectares of temporary grassland.
