Detail description
Common couch grass (Elymus repens) infestation in grasslands increased after extreme weather in 2017 and 2018, degrading forage quality. Three farmers and two advisers tested mechanical alternatives to glyphosate, including ploughing, mulching, and harrowing. Ploughing worsened couch grass spread. Harrowing showed better-than-expected results, but glyphosate remained the only effective control method.
