Plaatsing peilpiketten Spengen Cockagne 2025

Monitoring ditch water levels in peat marshes using RTK-GNSS calibrated sensors and LoRa transmission in Spengen, Utrecht

or

Detail description

On April 25, 2025, Verbelco B.V. installed five water level monitoring systems in Spengen, Utrecht, to measure ditch water levels in peat marsh areas. Each system features a Keller pressure sensor, WaterGate device, RTK-GNSS calibration, and hourly LoRa data transmission to a cloud platform. Installed on oak posts with access planks, systems include sealed pipes with reference marks and pressure gauges at 100 cm depth. Data from April 25 to May 20, 2025, is publicly available on Waterweb (www.waterweb.info), showing variations across stations P200–P204. The setup ensures accurate, long-term monitoring with minimal agricultural disruption, emphasizing collaboration with land managers and remote maintenance.
