or

Detail description

The GAEc d’Arazon, based in the Vosges, France, is an organic farm combining two holdings since 2007. It manages 85 dairy cows and 65 ewes across 220 hectares of diverse soils, including clay, limestone, and flood-prone clay. The farm operates under a rotational grazing system, housing cows in winter and moving them to pasture in summer. It aims for 5,000L per cow annually, with a milking system designed for hygiene and efficiency. Climate challenges such as drought, excessive rain, and temperature extremes have disrupted grass growth, notably in 2016, 2017, and 2018. Future plans include integrating sheep to improve pasture resilience and productivity.
