Wet ground, new opportunities: the lily-of-the-valley takes centre stage

Cattail as a sustainable building insulation material on wet ground. The Biosintrum in Oosterwolde is developing a complete supply chain, from cultivation to end product, with support from the EIP grant. The plant grows on peat meadow soil, where grass no longer grows, and helps with soil regeneration and CO₂ reduction. Collaboration between farmers, builders, designers and researchers is leading to a new agricultural approach for wetland areas.
