Nut trees in potato fields: Agroforestry

Higher yields and greater resistance to diseases and pests: that is what agroecologist Wijnand Sukkel expects from his agroforestry project in the Flevopolder. A project in which the cultivation of annual crops such as potatoes is combined with nut groves. ‘When you consider how much a kilo of nuts costs, I think there’s a promising revenue model here.’
