Enhancing Biomass Management and Circular Bioeconomy in Spain

Innovative biomass management for a sustainable circular bioeconomy in Spain's agriculture and forestry sectors

or

Detail description

This project enhances biomass management in Spain’s agriculture and forestry sectors by promoting on-site processing, raffia separation, and drying technologies to reduce waste, lower transport costs, and increase market value. It supports the circular bioeconomy through regional innovation, rural employment, and sustainable use of agricultural residues for biogas and compost. The initiative, based in Seville and part of the BBioNets network, fosters collaboration with cooperatives, research institutions, and technology providers to improve access to funding, training, and green skills—particularly for youth, women, and unemployed individuals—driving economic and environmental sustainability.
