Integrated Pest Management Tools Inventory for EU Crops

Integrated Pest Management tools for EU crops and non-crop applications

or

Detail description

Integrated Pest Management (IPM) tools for eight key EU crops—wine grape, olive, apple, strawberry, wheat, maize, potato, and onion—are compiled in a comprehensive inventory of 346 solutions. The tools target pests, diseases, and weeds, reducing pesticide use by 30–60% while increasing yields by 5–25%. Costs range from €20 to €650/ha, with efficacy varying by crop and implementation complexity. Non-crop-specific tools (13) offer moderate effectiveness (20–35%) and are limited by low standardisation and perceived impact. The SUPPORT project, funded by the EU and led by SEGES Innovation, supports evidence-based policy and farmer decision-making.
