Designing Strip Intercropping Systems for Biodiversity and Yield

Supports biodiversity and pest control in arable and organic farming with minimal equipment and planning time

or

Detail description

Strip intercropping enhances biodiversity and ecosystem services in arable farming by introducing spatial diversity, reducing pest and disease pressure, and minimizing soil compaction. Suitable for organic and conventional farms across Europe and North America, it requires minimal planning and no special equipment. Field trials at ERF commercial farm demonstrate improved yields, beneficial insect populations, and reduced crop damage using compatible strip widths and ley crops as traffic lanes.
