Detail description
Agro2Circular is a Horizon 2020-funded project (grant nº 101036838) advancing circular economy solutions in agriculture across Europe. It targets a 13 million ton reduction in raw material consumption and over 27 million tons of CO₂ emissions annually by repurposing agricultural and multi-layer plastic waste. The project develops scalable, territorial strategies to support sustainability, regeneration, and equity, training stakeholders including citizens, industries, and policymakers. It aims to generate €166.8M in revenue through 30 new circular business models and 15 exploitable results, creating 26 short-term, 295 medium-term, and 590–2,655 long-term jobs. Over 100 local alliances and 30 business ideas support the initiative. A four-step framework enables recycling, traceability, and replication of circular models. Coordinated by CETEC (Spain) and ICONS (Italy), the project promotes collaboration via email (funsanta.monzo@agro2circular.org; info@agro2circular.eu), website (agro2circular.eu/es), and social media (@Agro2Circular).
