Smart Irrigation Management for Vineyards and Orchards Using Computer Vision
Smart irrigation system for vineyards and orchards using computer vision and multi-sensor monitoring
or
Detail description
The IRRIVISION project develops a computer vision system for precision irrigation in vineyards and kiwi orchards. It integrates sensors for microclimate and soil moisture, a 3D imaging camera to monitor canopy volume, and a thermal camera to measure canopy temperature—key indicators of plant water status. These data feed a decision-support system that enables automated, efficient irrigation, reducing water waste. The technology provides real-time, accurate monitoring by combining environmental and direct plant-based measurements, offering superior reliability over conventional methods.
