or
Detail description
The Dutch bioeconomy drives green growth through collaboration among government, industry, and knowledge institutions. Leveraging strengths in chemistry, agro-food, and logistics, the country supports sustainable value chains and innovation. Over 1,200 companies, mainly SMEs, develop bio-based materials and chemicals. Key initiatives include Green Deals on bio-based chemicals, biopolymers, and biofuels, backed by national and EU funding. A Top Consortium for Knowledge and Innovation fosters R&D collaboration. The sector is advancing through policy, investment, and regulatory reform.
