DRYAD: Climate-Resilient Nature-Based Solutions for Mediterranean Ecosystems

DRYAD is a Horizon Europe project (2024–2028) enhancing climate resilience in Mediterranean agro-silvo-pastoral ecosystems through nature-based solutions. It integrates scientific, technological, social, and business innovations across five Demonstration Regions (Andalusia, Extremadura, Alentejo, Sardinia, Xiroko/Aetoklakani) and three Replication Regions (Castile and León, Occitania, Tuscany). The project involves 27 partners from Spain, the Netherlands, Portugal, Italy, Greece, and France, supported by the European Union under grant agreement GA 101156076. It develops Decision Support Systems for multi-level, cross-sectoral governance, promoting adaptive, integrated management. The initiative emphasizes practical, on-the-ground implementation, as shown by imagery of grazing livestock, field teams, and weather monitoring in the project’s visual materials.
