Regional Network for Remote Beehive Monitoring and Management

Remote monitoring and data integration for nomadic beekeeping via the NOMADI-App

or

Detail description

Remote monitoring of beehives through a regional network of sensor-equipped apiaries enhances nomadic beekeeping management. The system collects real-time data on hive weight, temperature, humidity, and environmental conditions, integrating it with meteorological, land-use, and phenological data. A dedicated platform supports decision-making by correlating colony health with weather and plant development. Key activities include sensor development, software platform creation for data acquisition and visualization, field deployment in bee farms, and training for beekeepers. The project also conducts climate and territorial analyses, validates phenological forecasts, monitors pollutants, and tests beneficial flowering plant mixtures. Funded by the European Union, results are accessible via EU-FarmBook.
