Irrigation 1: Enhancing resilience amid climate change and ecological outflow

The Consortium enhances irrigation resilience in the Priave River basin through ecological outflow management, reduced river abstraction, and infrastructure upgrades. It implements emergency plans under D.P.C.M. 21.09.2007, aiming to prevent estimated 1.5 billion euro GDP losses and 10,000 job cuts in the primary sector. Activities focus on minimizing network losses, optimizing water use, quantifying consumption, verifying ecological outflow values, and advancing sustainable practices via rural development projects and EIP-AGRI innovation. Funded by the European Union, these efforts support long-term water security and territorial adaptation.
