Appen.bio: Advancing Sustainable Agriculture in the Apennines

The Appen.bio project, funded by the EU and led by Alce Nero Spa, advances sustainable agriculture and food innovation in the Italian Apennines. It bridges research and practice through the EIP-AGRI network, engaging farmers, local authorities, schools, and hospitals. The initiative promotes direct, sustainable distribution of local, healthy food—especially to children—via regional value chains and outreach events. Key partners include Alma Mater Studiorum, Agricola Morara, and La Cartiera dei Benandanti. The project enhances visibility and impact through targeted dissemination, seminars, and digital communication.
