Inoculation of soybean seeds with Rhizobium bacteria before sowing enhances yield and protein content by fixing atmospheric nitrogen. This cost-effective practice, requiring 200 g of dry inoculant per 100 kg of seeds, can increase yields by 15–20% and reduce mineral nitrogen fertiliser use by 40–60%.
