Freeze-Drying Technology for High Microbiological Purity in Fruits and Vegetables
Innovative freeze-drying technology for microbiologically pure fruit and vegetable products
or
Detail description
The project develops innovative freeze-drying technology to produce lyophilized fruits and vegetables with enhanced microbiological purity. The process, tested via a prototype device, aims to reduce microbial contamination and improve product safety. Results will be implemented by 2SONS company, with potential licensing or sale to other entities. Dissemination will occur through scientific and industry publications, conferences, and a dedicated website. The technology shows promise for broader applications, including sterilising low-moisture grains, due to microwave effects on dry materials. Intellectual property protection may be pursued via utility model or patent. Funded by the European Union and made available via EU-FarmBook.
