Detail description
Margaret Farrell founded Margaret’s Eggs in the 1980s on her family farm in the Cavan-Meath border region, starting with 150 free-range hens. The business grew to 160,000 hens and produces nearly 50 million eggs annually. After the 2012 EU ban on battery cages, she launched the Margaret’s brand, introducing innovative products like pasteurised liquid eggs. The family-run business now employs 32 people and supplies eggs nationwide through major retailers, reflecting a commitment to sustainable farming and animal welfare.
