Detail description

Salento Km0 is a non-profit association based in Apulia, Italy, promoting sustainable agriculture, local food networks, and environmental justice. Founded in 2011 by Francesca Casaluci, it supports small-scale organic farmers through seed preservation, educational initiatives, and community-driven solidarity economies. The association established the Network for Natural Agriculture in Salento and launched the To Kalo Fai Laboratory in Zollino, hosting farmers' markets, workshops, and cultural events. It has contributed to policy change, including public procurement for school canteens, and published guides on sustainable farming. The initiative strengthens social, cultural, and ecological resilience across the Salento region.
