MiniKiwi Post-Harvest Management and Storage Technologies
Optimizing post-harvest handling and storage for mini kiwi fruits using MODOM technologies and controlled atmosphere systems
or
Detail description
Optimal post-harvest handling and non-invasive ripeness-based sorting for MiniKiwi (Actinidia arguta) fruits, developed under the MODOM project at SGGW Warsaw, funded by the European Rural Development Fund. Protocols ensure quality retention across short-term (1–2 weeks), medium-term (3–4 weeks), and long-term (6–8 weeks) storage using controlled atmosphere, ethylene control, and humidity management. Ozone treatment (0.2–0.3 ppm) ineffective. Demonstrated in processing facilities to meet minimum one-week shelf life requirements. Co-funded by the European Union’s Rural Development Program (2014–2020).
